Serdar's usual trip to work means jumping onto his bike around 7:30 a.m.
He rides on Plano’s beautiful trails and quiet neighborhood roads, admitting, “I love listening to nature along the way, feeling the fresh morning air. This is not a Saturday morning exercise routine, it’s actually my commute to work.”
His ride is both relaxing and a great workout, with the exception of the last few miles on
Tennyson where he has to compete with fast-moving traffic. He believes many of his fellow Plano residents will choose biking over driving if Plano can improve connections to the existing trails and make minor safety improvements in infrastructure.
We also need to increase driver awareness. “Then,” he says, “everybody will benefit from less traffic, fewer crashes, and cleaner air.”
